Data Handling Overview

Soberlyze is designed as a privacy-first application that keeps your personal information secure and local. This document explains in detail how we handle your personal data, what information stays on your device, and the limited scenarios where minimal data might be shared.

What Personal Data We Store

Your personal data includes: quit date and time, weekly alcohol consumption settings (beer, wine, spirits, malt liquor quantities), currency preferences, language settings, theme preferences, money spent per week on alcohol, calories consumed per week from alcohol, and all calculated statistics and progress tracking data.

Local Storage Details

All of your personal data is stored exclusively on your device using secure local storage mechanisms. This data is encrypted and remains within your device's secure storage area, inaccessible to other applications or external parties.

Your data never automatically syncs to cloud services, remote servers, or any external databases. The app functions completely offline and does not require an internet connection for core functionality.

Third-Party Advertising Data

Our app displays advertisements through third-party advertising networks to support app development. These advertising partners may collect anonymous device information such as advertising ID, device type, operating system version, and general usage patterns.

Importantly, your personal sobriety data (quit dates, drink consumption, progress) is never shared with advertisers. Only standard advertising metrics are collected by ad networks, which is separate from your personal app data.

Feedback Data Collection

When you voluntarily choose to send feedback through the app's feedback feature, we collect only your device ID and phone model to provide technical support. This helps us identify device-specific issues and improve app compatibility. No personal sobriety data is included in feedback submissions unless you explicitly include it in your message.

Your Data Control

You have complete control over your data. You can modify or delete any information at any time through the app settings. Uninstalling the app will permanently remove all stored personal data from your device, as no copies exist on external servers.

No Automatic Data Transmission

Your sobriety journey data, statistics, and personal settings are never transmitted to our servers or any third-party services automatically. The only data transmission occurs when you explicitly choose to send feedback, and even then, only minimal technical information is shared.

Device Security Responsibility

Since all data is stored locally, the security of your information depends on your device's security measures. We recommend using device locks, encryption, and other security features provided by your operating system to protect your personal information.

Data Deletion

To completely remove your data, simply uninstall the app from your device. This will permanently delete all stored information. Alternatively, you can reset individual settings through the app's settings menu.
